The closing went very smoothly yesterday. Reid and I (and Tater) went over to the house last night and cleaned some. We also sat around (on the floor of course) and talked about where our different furniture pieces will go.
It all still seems very surreal. I told Reid that I'm like Tater. Where ever my furniture is, that's where my home is. So I don't think it will feel like my home until our furniture has moved. And I don't think it will feel like a house I own until I paint... but all good things will come in time.

Congratulations, homeowners!
I decided when we moved that wherever the cats were was "home." As soon as the cats left the apartment and moved into the house, even though we still had a lot of stuff in the apartment and were continuing to move it over, it felt like we were going home to them...
Congrats! Did you feel like you were signing your life away?! :)
COngrats to the both of you! This is a big step but it is neat that it is coming together for the two of you!!
What a big step. Good for you. I think painting and when you start buying stuff purely because it fits in this house, then you know you are in for the long haul.
And I agree with Sarah, home is where the pets live.
Yay... You got a house! I hope you have water.. I've been thinking about you all week and wondering if I should drive up there and give you some water and take you to dinner! You can always come to Denver and we can hit the museum or something! :)
Oh..and thank you so much for your post on the random acts of bling!! *hugs* You brought tears to my eyes.
Congratulations on the first house! What an exciting time.
